There are many benefits to buying evening dresses for functions. However, at the same time there are downsides and you may be better hiring. It is worth considering both of the pros and cons to determine which the better option for you and your budget is.
The main benefit of buying your own evening dresses is that you know that you are the only person to wear them. You have no idea about who else has worn the dresses when you hire one and no idea about the events that they have been used for. This puts many people off the idea of hiring something. Another benefit is that you always have the dress there if you find that you need it for another event later down the line.
However, not everybody requires a dress for more than one function. It can be expensive to buy evening dresses just for one occasion, especially when you add on the cost of the accessories on top!
